The components used in the ATVS MDVR systems are sourced from reputable manufacturers such as TEXAS INSTRUMENTS,  MICRON and MAXIN and all made in the USA. ATVS do not use the Chinese made solution from “Hisilicon” which the majority of DVR manufacturers use due to its price competitiveness. So if you seek a low-end product, or an over priced PC based solution don’t waste any more time reading this document just delete it, burn it and move on. Otherwise read on and discover that you are in the right place after all.

All systems endure rigorous testing not only in manufacture but as soon as they land in our Michigan based warehouse they are tested again. In fact they are fully bench tested a total of 3 times before final packaging and distribution to local and worldwide distributors.

This is not simply a recorder of HD video, under the hood the MDVR’s “BLACK BOX” the watchdog circuitry has been designed for reliability and to safeguard data integrity in sudden and unscheduled power outages due to outside influences. In a power loss situation the system has the capability of finalising the video file prior to total loss of power, otherwise up to the last 5 minutes of recordings could be lost.

Wait there is more, the cameras used in the system are not off the shelf devices but have been designed to work in difficult environments such as driver and passenger cabins. The camera lens mounts have been      redesigned to cope with low ceilings to show as much of the cabin as possible. The bios circuitry of the optical sensor and associated low lighting LED’s has also been tweaked to provide maximum video quality in low light environments, they can record in no light with less lens flare/saturation than off the shelf cameras.

But there is more, the systems also have inertia sensors to bookmark times and places where the vehicle is undergone abnormal situations such as extreme braking/acceleration events either due to a road incident or driver behaviour. An optional event button can be used to manually record events as they are happening.

And last but not least, all systems have an integrated GPS processor to provide real time  location data that is embedded into the video stream during recording, all can viewed in custom designed fleet management  windows software,  android and IOS apps. Optional 4G/4G modem to allow remote access to the recorder.
